Here are some tips for lowering your energy costs:
1. Turn off lights and electronics when you’re not using them. If you don’t have a remote control, there are apps that let you turn off the lights from anywhere. Give it a try!
2. Keep cool in the summer by closing shades, running fans, and using A/C units to manage temperatures in different rooms.
3. To keep warm in winter, avoid using heaters when possible, close doors to keep heat in and wear layers of clothing instead of one bulky jacket or coat. Turn up your thermostat before going to bed or leaving the house for long periods of time, wear socks at all times–even indoors–and check that radiators are working correctly before turning them on again after being turned off during winter months.
4. Keep track of how much electricity/gas/water/etc you use each month so that you can adjust your habits accordingly if necessary! Afton MN HVAC
